Lophophora williamsii

Lophophora williamsii Lophophora williamsii
Date: 1998 March 23
Location: San Luis Potosí

A huge clump of Lophophora. The plants grow on flat ground, and are often found under bushes. There were large numbers of them in this area.

Not many of the plants were in flower, but we eventually managed to find one or two. There had evidently been animals around, but it appears that they leave the Lophophora alone, whereas other cacti are often eaten.

Another flowering plant, accompanied by my boot!
