Among the plants growing in the Huasteca Canyon, Santa Catarina, near Monterrey, is this Agave (lower-right), popular with growers for its relatively small size, and attractive leaf patterning. The other (larger) plant is a Hechtia, a genus of bromeliads which we often found growing with cacti.
