An unassuming plant out of flower, but spectacular in bloom. I grew this specimen from seed with the collection number Lau 173, sown in 1983. Ralph Martin's field number database provides the translation to Matucana myriacantha, from Rio Crisnejas, Cajamarca, Peru.
