Thelocephala esmeraldana

Thelocephala esmeraldana Thelocephala esmeraldana
Date: 2004 June 27

This plant is grown from seed collected in Chile on 14th February 2001. In habitat, Thelocephala grow with the top of the plant level with the soil surface, and might sometimes be completely buried, which makes them extremely difficult to find when not in flower.

In cultivation, the plant body is usually above ground. This was the first time that the plant had flowered, and was still only 3.5cm in diameter.
