The first day of our visit to Mexico, we decided on an easy day's exploring in the Huasteca Canyon, Santa Catarina, near Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
The canyon is known for its magnificent scenery, but for us, an additional attraction was of course the plants. It was raining when we left Monterrey, but once into the canyon, the skies cleared. We saw Echinocereus and Agave, along with other plants.
