Neoporteria esmeraldana in flower. This is one of
the species of Neoporteria which is classified into
the genus Thelocephala by those who recognise it as
a separate genus. The plants grow with their flat tops level
with the surface of the ground, often almost covered with
gravel.
Another plant, with the large flower totally concealing
the plant body.
